Senior Tax Preparer / Tax Accountant (US-Based Client)

LTD Scale is hiring an experienced Senior Tax Preparer / Tax Accountant to support US-based clients. This role is for professionals with strong, hands-on experience in high-volume individual and business tax preparation who can work independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

At least 4 years of direct tax preparation experience
300+ individual (Form 1040) returns prepared
150+ business returns (Forms 1120 and 1065) prepared

Required Experience

Individual and business tax preparation (1040, 1120, 1065)
Workpapers, trial balances, and book-to-tax adjustments
Short-term and long-term rental activities, including Airbnb
K-1s and proper flow-through treatment
Multi-state and SALT filings, including apportionment
Exposure to clients across real estate, retail, technology, professional services, restaurants, and hospitality
Proficiency in UltraTax CS and QuickBooks Online (QBO)

Nice to Have

Cost segregation and depreciation concepts
Stock-based compensation (ISOs, NSOs, RSUs)
Section 1031 like-kind exchanges
Client correspondence and tax notice resolution (IRS, FTB)
